About

"To bring a spirit of study to learning that takes place both in and beyond classroom settings, learning must be understood as an experience that enriches life in its entirety."

-bell hooks, Teaching Community

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Ball State University. My research is situated within the intersections of critical media studies and rhetoric, emphasizing critical race studies, whiteness, sport and surveillance, gender, and sexuality. I am especially interested in pursuing intersectional feminist scholarship in the context of sports culture.
